When you’re tempted to reach for a sweet or fatty snack, try grabbing a skipping rope instead.
Skipping can help suppress hunger, according to new research from Japan. Researchers found that people who jumped rope for 10 minutes, three times a day, were less hungry than those who burned a similar number of calories cycling.
One theory is that jumping makes you more tired and your muscles more sore than non-weight-bearing exercise, and that discomfort suppresses your appetite.
