Mothers who breastfeed have a two-thirds lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

Mothers who breastfeed have a two-thirds lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease later in life, compared with women who never breastfeed. Researchers at Cambridge University studied elderly women with and without the disease, and found those who had breastfed had a 64% reduced risk of dementia.
