Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra’s through the years

We take a look back at the lingerie giant's most extravagant underwear

Last year Lily Aldridge made her Fantasy Bra debut, made to look like the colourful explosion of fireworks. The piece featured more than 6,500 gems (including blue topaz, red garnet, yellow sapphire and pink quartz) and was valued at $2,000,000 USD.

In 2014, for the first time in Victoria’s Secret fashion show history, two fantasy bras were created for veteran Angels Alessandra Ambrosio & Adriana Lima. The two sapphire, ruby and diamond sets contain 16,000 gems each, were accompanied by a 18-carat jewelled body piece and were valued at $2,000,000 USD each

In 2013 Candice Swanepoel modelled a $10,000,000 Fantasy Bra set in 18-carat gold with a show stopping 52 carat pear-shaped ruby.

In 2012 Alessandra Ambrosio was chosen to model the Floral Fantasy Bra valued at $2,500,000. The bra was made out of 5,200 amethysts, sapphires, rubies and white, pink and yellow diamonds, and was the first time she was selected to wear the fantasy bra after 11 years as an Angel.

Miranda Kerr wore this etheral dream in 2011, valued at $2,500,000 The bra was encrusted in 3,400 gems – including 142 carats of diamonds, and countless pearls, citrines and aquamarines

The 2010 Bombshell Fantasy bra was worn by vixen Adriana Lima and was valued at $2,000,000. Set in 18 carat white gold, it was made out of over 3000 brilliant cut white diamonds, light blue sapphires and oval-shaped topazes.

The 2009 Harlequin Fantasy Bra was worn by Marisa Miller and valued at $3,000,000. Set in a geometric pattern, 2,300 diamonds were used with a 16-carat heart-shaped diamond pendant in the centre.

The 2008 Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra worn by Adriana Lima was encrusted with 3,575 black diamonds, 117 certified one-carat round diamonds and 34 rubies. It was valued at $5,000,000.

Merry Christmas! The 2007 Holiday Fantasy Bra was worn by Selita Ebanks and valued at $4,500,000. It was made out of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and yellow sapphires.

The 2006 Hearts on Fire Diamond Fantasy Bra worn by Karolina Kurkova was encrusted with over 2000 diamonds,and featured a 10-carat diamond brooch as the centrepiece. It was valued at $6,500,000.

Set in 18-carat white gold, Gisele Bündchen wore the $12,500,000, 18-carat white gold, pave-diamond and ruby gemstone creation.

The 2004 Heavenly “70” Fantasy Bra worn by Tyra Banks came in at $10,000,000 and featured an extravagant 70-carat pear-shaped diamond.

The 2003 Very Sexy Fantasy bra worn by Heidi Klum took 370 hours to create, had a 2,800 gem encrusted brassiere and a center piece using a 70-carat Excelsior diamond.

The 2002 Star of Victoria Fantasy Bra worn by Karolina Kurkova was valued at $10,000,000. This floral masterpiece was set with 1,600 emeralds and 1,150 rubies in a leaves and roses pattern.

2001 was the first year the fantasy bra was modelled on the runway, and was debuted by Heidi Klum. The bra was covered in 1,2000 Sri Lankan pink sapphires and a 90-carat emerald cut diamond, and valued at $12,500,000.

In 2000 the Red Hot Fantasy Bra worn by Gisele Bündchen had a price tag of $15,000,000, earning a place in the Guinness World Records as the most expensive piece of lingerie ever created. It was made of red satin and encrusted with over 1,300 diamonds and rubies, including 300 carats of Thai rubies.

The most subtle Fantasy Bra to date, the 1997 Diamond Dream Bra was worn by Tyra Banks and valued at $3,000,000. The elegant piece featured a 42 karat diamond at the bra’s centre and 93 smaller, pear cut diamonds.

Claudia Schiffer debuted the very first Fantasy Bra in 1996, a $1,000,000 diamond encrusted piece dubbed the Million Dollar Miracle Bra.
