New mum Blake Lively, who gave birth to her first child with hubby Ryan Reynolds in December, was the envy of many with her chic maternity style over the past few months.
But as the 27-year-old tells People, dressing for a baby bump wasn’t a big deal – because she hardly had to buy any maternity clothes!
Instead, the Gossip Girl star opted to adapt her existing wardrobe to fit her new body, relenting only when it came to buying jeans.
“It’s important to still feel like yourself, because so much of your life is changing,” she explained.
“I would’ve felt foreign in my own body if I’d started dressing differently.”

Aside from one event where her baby bump actually caused her original dress to split, she stuck to her guns throughout her whole pregnancy.
“Everything is my clothing, it’s something I can and will wear when I’m not pregnant.”
Now that the gorgeous star has welcomed her first child into the world, it seems she already can’t wait for baby number 2!
“I do want to just enjoy this moment,” she told People. “But I also feel like my first child is going to be the oldest sibling to the next kid, and that may change with each and every year.
“I’m looking forward to how one baby influences the other, and to my family as a whole, to every single chapter.”
