How to refresh your hair post-workout, without the wash.
Step-by-step guide for reviving post-work out hair.

Getting to the gym for a workout in the morning can be a mission at the best of times. But it also leaves you with a bigger dilemma… what on earth do you do with your sweaty hair? Of course you can wash it, but unless you want to arrive at your desk looking like you’ve been caught in a shower you’ll need to blow-dry it, and that takes time.

So the best option is to put it up. Style director at Morgan & Morgan Urban Retreat Erin Beech says “The key is to not overthink it, and choose a style that is simple.” Your best bet? The classic pony tail.

Follow our step-by-step guide:

  1. Dry shampoo. This is a must. Not only will it remove any excess oil but it will also provide a fresh scent like you’ve just washed your hair. Spray throughout the hair and make sure you brush it through, particularly if you’ve got dark hair as otherwise it will leave a white powdery residue.

  2. Brush your hair back into a pony tail and secure with a hair tie.

  3. Simply twist a section of hair around the hair tie and secure with a bobby pin.

  4. Brush the ponytail to smooth the ends.

Tip: If you want your ponytail to stay super high, slide some bobby pins into the base of your hair tie to secure the top of the ponytail to your head.
