Don’t let the cold weather keep you indoors. A woollen coat is a winter wardrobe staple and will keep you toasty wherever you go. Either try a classic colour and style to go with all your outfits, or one that makes a bold fashion statement. Investing in a good coat, will keep you cosy and looking good.
What winter coat is right for me?
If you have generous curves, choosing a double-breasted style will streamline your silhouette and skim over any problem areas.
If you have a petite frame, single-breasted cuts will suit you. This will balance out your frame and flatter your figure.
When choosing a jacket, don’t forget to try it on with a bulky jumper underneath. In the cold depths of winter, you don’t want to find that your coat won’t fit over the top of your other winter woollies! Ensure that your coat doesn’t tug or pull, especially under the arms, and make sure the sleeves rest on or below your wrist bone.
If you don’t want the fuss of a bulky scarf, choose a jacket with a big cosy collar or hood.
You can always brighten up a neutral coat by wearing a bright polo neck top underneath.
And remember – military-style jackets are very fashionable this winter!
