As Coco Chanel once said ‘Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress.’
There is something alluring about a woman who can take traditionally male-style clothing and make it her own. over the years female dressing has come along way, evolving and defeating many social barriers. These days fashion is a personal choice, but man-style is one trend that will always be around for the choosing because let’s face it; it’s fun to show the boys how it’s done!
Styles to look out for: Blazers, waistcoats and vest, trousers, shirts.
Shapes: Tailored, strong shapes work well, square shoulders, straight-leg trousers etc. Remember the female form will breathe femininity into them.
Fabrics: Starched cotton, woven wool or blended mixes.
Patterns: Anything too feminine dilutes the look. If you desire some interest steer away from floral or anything too busy and choose a pinstripe or a traditional English patterns e.g. herringbone, hounds tooth, tweed.
Colours: Classic black and white, complimented with grey, blue and cream.
Accessories: Keep them simple and sharp e.g. belts, hats, braces if you dare!
