David Hartnell certainly knows a thing or two about style.
The man who made the phrase “my lips are sealed” a Kiwi institution has been the celebrated fashion and gossip columnist for the New Zealand Woman’s Weekly for 36 years now.
And while we wait with baited breath for this Best Dressed of 2016 list to find it’s way to us, David kindly sat down and revealed his top three style tips for Kiwi women – and men!
David Hartnell’s top three style tips
A woman should have a little black dress. It’s a classic for a reason.
Avoid too many “designery” outfits. Or those that are brightly coloured, because people tend to notice if you wear it all the time.
A man needs a good dinner suit in the wardrobe. And away from the special occasions, he needs more than just one shirt and pair of jeans!
