I find it hard to believe it was 36 years ago that I published my first Best Dressed List right here in the Weekly.
Over the years, I’ve seen many celebrities come and go. The biggest change I have seen is in men’s fashion.
These days, I’m happy to see men becoming very fashion-conscious.
I’ve always believed that fashion should be fun and individual to the person wearing it.
They should put their own creative twist to it, making the look their own.
Take from the world of fashion what suits you and leave the rest well alone.

David Hartnell’s best dressed
Liam Malone (23) – Paralympic sprinting champion
His casual classic approach to his wardrobe is pure gold.
Blair Tuke (27) – Olympic sailor
There are no fashion yawns in this wardrobe, his look is a winner.
Alistair wilkinson (46) – Journalist
His wardrobe looks like it’s been tailored just for him, in a timeless style.
Tim wilson (50) – Seven Sharp reporter
He’s quirkily stylish; he dresses like a cartoon character. I love how he puts his wardrobe together, making his own fashion statement.
Monty Betham (39) – Sportsman & Sky Sports presenter
If he was a basketball player, I say he’d score a slam-dunk with this wardrobe.
Jack Tame (29) – Breakfast host
He has casual fashion down pat and with his looks, he could model for the men’s collection at Burberry.
Sam Neill (69) – Actor
He enjoys a very laid-back, smart casual wardrobe. But when it comes to a red-carpet event, he dresses like the star he is.
Sir Richard Taylor (51) – Film-maker
He looks great in either casual or tailored clothing. He’s a knight of the realm and fashion, which is masterfully coordinated.
Paul Ellis (54) – Celebrity agent
His threads are always classy, well tailored, tasteful and never stuffy or boring.
Taika Waititi (41) – Actor & director
I love his quirky approach to his wardrobe. He wears what he likes and to hell with the latest fashion trends.
SUPREME WINNER: Simon Dallow – News presenter (52)
His style shows flair way beyond standard fashion. Whether casual or tailored, Simon’s look is always 10 out of 10 – professional and believable, just like his TV news presentation.
