Wisp watch: How to update the classic bun hairstyle

Add a touch of romance to your bun and feel the love!

Chic updos needn’t be severe and slicked back. The newest way to wear your hair up is with a few soft, touchable tendrils falling free – as if your chignon has loosened up after a turn on the dance floor.

The best way to get a natural look? Prep with a light mist of texturiser and blow-dry. Pin up your hair, then gently push your fingers into your roots and lift slightly to loosen. Lastly, pull out a few strands at the front.

You can use a flat iron or tong to create soft bends through the tendrils, but make sure the curl isn’t too tight or risk flashbacks to ’90s school-ball hair!

The tools you’ll need
