As the weather goes from hot to cold, we often take our skin-care routine for granted, believing that the products we’ve used throughout summer will carry us through the change of seasons. We accept itchy, dry skin as an unavoidable part of colder, drier winter. But that doesn’t have to be the case. By following just a few precautions, we can keep our skin healthy and glowing, throughout the colder winter months.
Keep your lips in good condition by not licking or biting them and keeping a lip balm in your purse at all times. There are loads of good ones out there but if you don’t want to buy a specialised product just use your Everything Balm.
Don’t say goodbye to sunscreen. Just because the sun isn’t as hot, it doesn’t mean those rays aren’t doing damage. Remember, the SPF15 moisturiser that you apply in the morning won’t be protecting you by lunchtime so, if you’re heading outdoors, you’ll need sunscreen.
ooisturize to the max. Because indoor and outdoor conditions are drier in winter, use moisturisers more frequently. You may also want to consider switching to heavier creams and moisturisers which can rejuvenate your skin.
Likewise, with your hands, it might pay to moisturise them more frequently and with a heavier hand cream. Keep a bottle of moisturiser in your handbag or desk drawer for easy access.
