Stay beautiful at the gym

It’s easy to neglect beauty routines when we work out. How often do you pull on your least favourite t-shirt before hitting the gym? Imagine how much more appealing that cardio circuit would be if you had comfortable, flattering, sensible workout clothes. And while that might sound vain, there are lots of good reasons to streamline your gym wardrobe.

Sports stores stock specially designed dry tops which keep sweat away from the skin and help to avoid back break-outs and discomfort. Supportive sports bras will keep the breasts from bouncing and causing damage during physical activity.

And while there’s no need to reach for that leotard, clothes with lycra or elastane can flatter your figure by smoothing out lumps and bumps. Dark colours will make you look slimmer. Bootcut pants (without so much flare they’ll get caught in the machinery) are flattering as they balance out the width of your hips.

Avoid wearing makeup to the gym to allow your skin to breathe as you work out. Follow your workout with a sauna to really relax and increase your circulation – leading to softer, more radiant skin. And don’t forget your water bottle.
