Jules Armishaw (40) is an Auckland make-up artist and stylist.
My beauty philosophy is… Great skin comes from within. Looking after yourself and eating right always shows on the outside.
The skincare products I can’t live without are… Bobbi Brown BB Cream, which gives me a fresh glow, even when I’m not feeling fresh. Dove Summer Glow builds a tan to take care of the lily-white look.
My haircare secret is… Colouring my own hair. I use Garnier Olia, then a sea-salt spray for added texture.
The must-have products in my make-up bag are… YSL Touche Eclat, Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash Balm and Mac Black Smoulder Eye Pencil.
My favourite beauty treat is… Getting a manicure and pedicure. I love OPI Gelcolour, as it lasts up to four weeks.
My biggest beauty sin is… Picking off the gel from my nails and never having time for facials.
The best thing my mother taught me about beauty was…Always remove your make-up at night, no matter how tired you are, as the skin repairs itself while sleeping. Also, take lots of fish oils to keep skin soft. My grandmother always told me to wear sunblock on my hands, as they indicate the first signs of ageing.
