How to: Make your own honey face mask

The Green Goddess, Wendyl Nissen, shares the buzz on skincare.

I’ve been using raw honey on my face lately and my skin is so soft, I’m never going back!

I smear it on every day and leave it there for 15 minutes. It rinses off with warm water and the honey is so hydrating, I barely need moisturiser.

You can lather raw honey straight on like I do, but if you’re in the mood for something a bit more intense, try this mask:

Honey face mask

1 Rinse your face and leave it slightly moist. Use clips or a band to keep hair away from the face.

2 Dip your fingers into the raw, untreated honey and apply with upward strokes. Don’t be shy, cover your entire face and neck!

3 Leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse it off and give your face a final rinse with apple cider vinegar and water.

If you have dry skin, follow this up with a moisturiser and enjoy your glowing skin!
