Get bride beautiful by creating some simple habits
Plenty of shuteye
They call it beauty sleep for a reason – people who don’t get enough are perceived as less attractive, according to a University of Stockholm study. Researchers showed volunteers pictures of the same people when they’d slept well, and after staying awake all night. They all thought the sleep-deprived subjects looked less attractive, and were more likely to have red and swollen eyes, dark circles, “hanging” eyelids, paler skin and droopy mouths.
Smiles ahead
When you laugh, you release feel-good hormones called endorphins that help combat the effects of stress. Being strung out is not good for your appearance – for a start, it leaves you with an unattractive scowl and can create frown lines.
Stress also slows down the skin’s cell renewal process, which can age you and leave skin looking lined. Excessive production of stress hormones can also stimulate the skin to increase oil production, leading to an acne breakout. Having a good laugh at least once a day (try watching a funny DVD) can make a noticeable difference.
A higher plane
Meditation is another great stress-buster. The hormones your body releases when you are stressed affect digestion and can prevent the absorption of vitamins. Hair loss is possible if you don’t get enough B vitamins. Follicles get stuck in the phase of the growth process in which they fall out, but then don’t grow back as they should. Vitamin deficiency also causes fingernails to become brittle and break.
To make sure your body is absorbing vitamins properly, set aside half an hour a dayto sit somewhere quiet and concentrate on your breathing, letting go of everything that is stressing you.
Feel the rhythm
Any physical activity that gets your heart pumping is good for you, but dancing can be especially good if you do it vigorously. It can help you to lose or maintain weight, tone your body all over and improve circulation, which is good for skin.
Dancing may be easier to do for longer, because it’s more fun than an activity such as running. The music you dance to can help boost your mood.
You don’t have to go to dance classes – bopping around your living room to your favourite songs will do the trick, as long as it leaves you out of breath.
Liquid purity
If you swap your usual drinks for water in the lead-up to your big day, you’ll notice a difference. As well as possibly losing weight, your skin may look much better and your eyes will sparkle (especially if you’ve been getting lots of sleep).
Foods that will give your skin a gorgeous glow include avocado, spinach, pumpkin seeds and radishes.
