The straps dig in
The straps on your shoulders shouldn’t leave ridges once you take your bra off. The straps should only be doing about 10% of the work here, so there shouldn’t be enough weight on them to cause these marks.
You’re constantly fidgeting
If you’re constantly struggling against your bra it probably means it’s either too big or too small. If adjusting the straps doesn’t fix the problem, get yourself to a bra fitter.
You’ve got overspill
If your bra is cutting into your boobs and giving you four – it’s time to get a new one. You could need a bigger cup size.
Your boobs are sagging
A well-fitting bra is like an instant lift. If they’re still sagging after you tighten the straps – you’re wearing the wrong one.
The back band rides up
The back band should be totally horizontal. If it isn’t, this means the bra band might be too big and you should consider going to a smaller size.
Your neck or back hurts
Bad bras can cause all manner of neck and back pain, which is all the more reason to get one fitted properly. All good lingerie departments should have a trained bra fitter, who can assist you in getting the right size for you.
The middle doesn’t sit flat
The centre of the bra should like flat against your sternum, if it doesn’t it could mean the cup size you’re wearing is too small.
The material wrinkles
This means the bra is too big for you.
