My beauty philosophy is… Keep it simple and make the best of what you’ve got. If that doesn’t work, get to Clinic 42 for a shot of Botox – a needle in the right hands is the key!
The skincare products I can’t live without are… When I was dancing on the world circuit I was doing a show in the US and a dancer introduced me to Maybelline NY Expert Eyes 100% Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover. It’s the best stuff – effective, gentle and non-irritating. Unfortunately they don’t do this one in New Zealand any more so I stock up when I go overseas. Also my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion. I have dry skin and my face loves it. I have just started using Osmosis Skincare Stemfactor Serum for skin rejuvenation. And Aspect Phytostat 9 Moisturiser. For a cleanser I use Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser.
My haircare secret is… My understanding hairdresser, Seema at Ponsonby Hair, who squeezes me in at the last minute when I have unexpected functions, and Gary Rogers of Rogers Design Forum who does the best and most natural extensions in New Zealand. A great buy has been a Jose Eber curling wand which gives me professional-looking curls that last for days. I use Kérastase Nectar Thermique to protect my hair whenever I use it.
The must-have products in my makeup bag are… Gucci Rush perfume and Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation.
My favourite beauty treat is… A full-body exfoliation; it makes me feel like a newborn. Followed by a full-body massage.
My biggest beauty sin is… I’m slack at using sunblock and don’t drink enough water.
The best thing my mother taught me about beauty was… That beauty on the outside will fade but you can be beautiful on the inside forever!
