With so much to organise, it can be all too tempting to leave your beauty prep to the last minute. But thanks to our comprehensive checklist, you’re sure to look your best.

• DON’T have a facial the day before your wedding, as you’ll be at risk of a blemish outbreak.

• DO wear a waterproof mascara on the day, and if you feel yourself welling up, press a tissue lightly beneath your eye and blink into it.

• DON’T use a sticky lip gloss, especially if you’re wearing your hair down and it’s windy.

• DO have a bridesmaid carry a touch-up bag. No make-up is going to look picture perfect all day long. You’ll need lip colour, hairpins, blotting papers for oil control, and possibly some shine spray.

• DON’T wash your hair the morning of your wedding if you’re wearing an up-do. Stylists prefer next-day hair, as it has more grip.

• DO wear products containing sunscreen. If you’re worried this will reflect the camera flash and make your face look white, do a test run with the products you’ve chosen.
