If you want to get rid of a semi-permanent colour from your hair, or even a build-up of lacquer, mix an anti-dandruff shampoo with some bicarbonate of soda, massage into hair, then rinse well. Avoid rubbing it into the scalp though, as bicarbonate is abrasive.
