Teaspooms

Keep a couple of teaspoons in the fridge, place them over your eyes for ten minutes for instant results.

Facial massage

Massage drains sinuses, which can cause puffy eyes. With some face oil, start at the sides of the nose and run your ring fingers across and out over the face towards the jaw hinge. Repeat several times.

Cold teabags

Try a couple of cold chamomile tea bags, or cottonwool balls soaked in iced tea placed on your eyes for up to ten minutes.

Sleeping with two pillows

Make sure your head is elevated when you go to bed – you will be amazed at the difference this makes to puffy eyes.

Cucumber slices

Not only are they cooling, but the smell is known to have soothing and calming properties. Use straight from the fridge.

Frozen peas

A bag of frozen peas on your forehead and eyes is a great pick-me-up and also a good hangover cure – keep it on as long as you can stand it.

Hide them

Concealer is the only way to instantly hide dark circles. Don’t choose one that’s too light. If your shadows have a blue tinge, opt for a yellow toned concealer. If they don’t, choose one that’s peachy.
