Taylor Jenkin Reid’s best-selling novel about the rise and fall of a dysfunctional 1970s rock band is coming to the small screen today and we couldn’t be more excited.
The story is told in the style of a music documentary transcript and charts the meteoric rise of fictional band Daisy Jones and The Six, with particular focus on the push-pull relationship of its two stars: LA-based singer-songwriter Daisy Jones, and The Six front man Billy Dunne.
The book became an instant bestseller and Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine quickly snapped up the rights to turn it into a TV show.

Who is starring in Daisy Jones and The Six?
The cast of Daisy Jones and The Six is absolute next level.
Dusting off her bellbottoms and long coats to star as Daisy Jones is Riley Keough, a great actress in her own right. She is also the granddaughter of the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley. That’s serendipitous casting if you ask us.
Former Hunger Games and Me Before You actor Sam Claflin stars as Billy Dunne, front man of The Six. Claflin is joined in the band by Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Billy’s brother and member of The Six, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, drummer of The Six, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, lead guitarist of the band with and Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, its keyboardist.
Other members of the cast include Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Billy’s wife and the mother of his children, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, disco icon and Daisy’s best friend, and Timothy Olyphant as Rod, manager of The Six.
