After no bachelorettes were sent home on Tuesday night’s episode, viewers were left wondering what the fallout would be – and last night, it came in the form of not one but two women saying goodbye to Art.
Danielle, the last bachelorette to get a one-on-one date, shocked Art by choosing to leave during the cocktail party after the two went on what she called “the perfect date”.
Despite accepting the rose during their romantic day together – which included blo-karting and an evening on the beach – the Auckland-based lawyer said she felt no spark with the hunky Bachelor and described the two of them as being “in the friend zone”.
After talking it over with Art, she gave up the rose and said goodbye to the rest of the women in the house.
Balclutha primary teacher Kristie was the next woman to go home last night after Art chose Chrystal over her for the final rose. The 24-year-old made a graceful exit and wished Art the best of luck with the remaining bachelorettes, and later said she was “glad” she left “before someone who had a deeper connection [with Art] went home”.
