Three accidentally spoils The Bachelor

In what the broadcaster is calling a “monumental error”, an exit interview with one of the remaining Bachelorettes was posted four days early.

A two-and-a-half minute exit interview with one of the remaining three Bachelorettes on Zac Franich’s season was mistakenly shared overnight, four days before her elimination episode is scheduled to air.

The clip was posted on Three’s website and app, and was taken down earlier this morning.

In a statement, Three said: “It has been brought to our attention that an elimination interview has been made available online before its intended date.

“It has since been removed.

“Three would like to apologise to fans for this monumental error. We are currently reviewing processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

The woman’s elimination is due to screen on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor NZ. Southlander Hannah Howley was the most recent Bachelorette sent home on the reality series, leaving three women left in the running – Viarni Bright, Claudia Hoskins and Lily McManus.

Fans who glimpsed the video before it was taken down will now know who the top two Bachelorettes are before the finale episode airs on Sunday, May 21.

In the exit interview, the eliminated Bachelorette says she “did really like Zac”.

“He seemed like a really good guy for me. … I thought what Zac and I had was really cool and really special,” she went on, adding that she “didn’t see that coming”.
