Four more fierce foodies hung up their aprons on My Kitchen Rules New Zealand last night in another intense double elimination.
Palmerston North friends Lauren and Simon and Southern lads Travis and Jeremy were sent packing after failing to impress the judges with their three course meals.
It was jokester duo Travis and Jeremy whose performance was the poorest, scoring a measly 30 points out of a possible 60 for their efforts, which included a braised beef cheek main and cheeky jafa dessert.

Eliminated MKR contestants Lauren and Simon.
Lauren and Simon’s menu had judges divided throughout their three courses. While their ravioli entrée and white chocolate mousse dessert won the judges over, it was their butter duck curry that had them questioning if the friends from Palmy had delivered a competition-ready dish.
But despite their exit from the tough TV2 cooking competition, the two teams say they have no regrets.
“It’s been a great journey, right from the beginning,” says Travis.
Teammate Jeremy adds, “obviously you learn a lot about food on the way but you also meet some great people and that’s been the best part about this whole journey.”
While for Lauren and Simon, it was quite simply the, “best experience ever”.
