This week, Hugo and Tasmanian nurse Tayla settle in at the couples’ retreat still not sleeping in the same bed. At drinks, Hugo overhears her sharing details of her private life with the other women. What she says rocks him.
“It was a slap in the face, but not a big shock,” he says. “It made me realise I was being played.”
The Sydney IT account executive has made it clear he wishes he’d been paired with any of the women in MAFS other than Tayla. So who does he think would have really suited him?
“From an empathetic level, I’d say Lyndall is on my wavelength,” Hugo reveals. “She’s always been a lovely girl. Evelyn would have been great to be paired with too. She’s definitely a lot, but she has a bit of a funnybone to her. And, of course, I’d love to be paired with Duncan!”
