Kaitlyn Bristowe finds love on The Bachelorette

After a season filled with drama, the latest Bachelorette has found her happily ever after

On the season finale of The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe happily accepted a proposal from 28-year-old personal trainer Shawn Booth, sending runner-up Nick Viall home after a stormy breakup.

This season has been one of the most controversial yet for the long-running reality show, with star Kaitlyn coming under fire after spending intimate “off-camera” time with Nick before the fantasy suite overnight dates.

Her decision prompted plenty of discussion on Twitter, with several users slamming the reality star and leaving harsh comments on her social media profiles. Kaitlyn addressed the hate on The Men Tell All special episode, telling host Chris Harrison she was fine with people “having their opinions” but “spreading hate” was not okay.

“It’s hard. It’s really hard, it’s hurtful,” she said.

Even before the date with Nick, Season 11 of The Bachelorette had already ruffled feathers with the news that there would be two bachelorettes vying for the title, with the male contestants voting for their ultimate pick at the end of the first night.

On the final episode, Kaitlyn faced more drama as runner-up Nick made it plain how hurt he was after being dumped.

“It’s not fair to tell me that what I feel, you feel the same. If you did, you’d have a ring on your finger right now,” he told her.

“You don’t love me.”

Happily, things went much better with Shawn, who got down on one knee and popped the question with a sparkler picked out from Neil Lane.

“You have already made me the happiest guy in the world and all I want to do is make you the happiest girl in the world,” Shawn said during his proposal.

Kaitlyn, of course, accepted and the couple are more loved-up than ever!
