After losing out on the grand prize on Come Dine With Me, contestant Peter Marsh’s furious rant has hit headlines and made the episode one of the show’s most talked-about yet.
Mr Marsh had been the final host of that week’s competition, during which he and three others hosted a dinner party in their own homes.
As the last contestant, he had the honour of reading out the results – but when he discovered his own name at the bottom of the list and his perceived rival Jane at the top, it clearly became too much.
Mr Marsh unleashed his frustration on his fellow diners, telling Jane she had “all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres”.
His bitter rant ended by ordering her out of his house.
“You ruined my night completely just so you could have the money,” he claimed, while the other three contestants sat awkwardly on his couch.
“I hope now you will spend it on getting some lessons in grace and decorum.”
During the heated competition, Peter had accused Jane of deliberately sabotaging his chances at winning the prize. However, his bitterness wasn’t just reserved for the winner. He also levelled an insult at one of the other contestants named Charlotte, who said she didn’t understand what he meant by his “dump truck” comment.
“Well, you wouldn’t would you? Let’s be honest, there’s nobody in there, love,” Peter said.
