Emotions were running high at a tense rose ceremony in last night’s episode of The Bachelor New Zealand – and while Zac Franich has yet to lock lips with any of his leading ladies, two of his Bachelorettes have already beat him to it.
BFFs Katey and Lucia, both 21, shared a kiss during the rose ceremony as the rest of their fellow Bachelorettes looked on.
The two pals, who were shown having a gossip session by the pool earlier in the episode, locked lips as it got down to the nerve-wracking final rose to be handed out, with Lucia, Taylar and Stephanie all facing the prospect of going home.
In the end, it was Taylar and Stephanie who were sent home as Lucia got the last rose – but the moment had some fans on social media buzzing.
However, when we sat down with Taylar to talk through her sudden exit from the show last night, the 23-year-old told us that the kiss confused everyone.
“They were a little bit drunk, which, you know, if you’re drinking wine after wine, it’s hard not to get a little bit tiddly,” she revealed.
“If they want to kiss, they can kiss. Maybe there is a spark between them, I don’t know. They are quite close.”
With more drama promised in next week’s episodes, Bachelor fans will have to wait and see what happens with Zac and the rest of the Bachelorettes!
