On Sunday’s episode of the reality show, Zac Franich broke his own no-kissing rule at cocktail parties to lock lips with not one but two Bachelorettes.

He’s been adamant about avoiding kisses at cocktail parties up to this point, but in last night’s episode of The Bachelor New Zealand, Zac Franich locked lips with both Viarni Bright and Claudia Hoskins in quick succession.

With the sun setting and a picturesque beachfront location as their backdrop, it was perhaps no wonder that Zac got carried away with the romance and kissed first Viarni, and then Claudia – but as the Bachelor star revealed later, it was a break in his own personal set of rules he had established for himself.

Viarni was the first to get a kiss from Zac during the cocktail party.

“I went into this whole experience and made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t do that – it’s just not the time, not the place, there’s other girls around and I didn’t want to be that guy,” he said during an on-screen confession.

Cut to a few minutes later, and the surf life-saving coach had locked lips with another Bachelorette – this time with Claudia, who he had stolen away for a walk across the sand. When the blonde beauty asked for a kiss, Zac revealed a moment of doubt, telling the cameras, “I’ve just kissed Viarni … I feel like a bit of a douche. I’m not sure what to do.”

The Bachelor also locked lips with Claudia.

The indecision proved to be no obstacle to romance, however, as the pair eventually kissed before heading back to rejoin the rest of the group.

“It’s funny, I came in with the mindset that I wouldn’t kiss any girls at any cocktail parties and tonight I’ve kissed two,” Zac later said.

“I never thought I would be in a situation where I’d feel this strongly about the five girls that are left.”
