Prince William and Prince Harry were the envy of Star Wars fans everywhere yesterday when they got to partake in a real life lightsaber duel.
The royal brothers – both huge fans of the sci-fi franchise – engaged in an animated mock fight using the famous swords during a visit to the Star Wars set at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire yesterday.
Harry also got up close and person with Chewbacca, while both brothers played with C-3PO and met the original Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill.
There is also a rumour the royals even scored cameo roles in the new film.
“The line given was that they were going to have lunch and a private tour of the rest of the set.
“What really happened is that the director came over and told them it was time to ‘get suited’ and off they went to the wardrobe department,” a source told Britain’s Mail on Sunday.
Disney, the studio behind the film, declined to comment.
