Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are the proud parents of a baby boy – and four-year-old Estelle is a big sister!

The little one’s name, Prince Oscar Carl Olof, Duke of Skane, was revealed by his grandfather, King Carl Gustaf, to the Swedish royal court yesterday.

Oscar is third in line to the throne, behind his mum and big sister, four-year-old Estelle.

As Swedes celebrate the exciting news, proud dad Daniel, 42, who was by his wife’s side for the entire labour, has spoken to local media about the moment he met his son.

He told Expressen that they’d chosen not to find out the gender of their baby, and admitted he had tears streaming down his face when he discovered he had a son.

Proud father Daniel cried at the births of both Oscar and his daughter Estelle, pictured here attending her first day of preschool.

Daniel cut the umbilical cord himself.

“Everyone is obviously very happy,” he said. “I haven’t had time to feel how it feels yet to be a father of two. Estelle is of course very enthusiastic about being a big sister.”

And there’s more baby joy on the way for the Swedish royals, with Victoria’s brother Prince Carl Philip and his wife Sofia expecting their first child together next month.
