The interesting mix of activities Princess Eugenie has planned for her post-wedding party

Day two sounds like fun!

When you’re royal you don’t just throw a lavish wedding. You also throw a lavish post-wedding party. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ after-party at Frogmore House – with champagne flowing, whisky bars, a firework display and then more “after-after parties” to follow – is a case in point.

Not to be outdone Princess Eugenie and fiancé Jack Brooksbank will be spreading their post-wedding celebrations over two days and hosting not one but two functions.

However, one of them sounds like a risky mix of activities.

The princess and Brooksbank are set to tie the knot on October 12 and, according to The Sunday Times, the Queen will host a post-wedding lunch at the home of Princess Eugenie’s parents, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew – the Royal Lodge at Windsor – after the wedding. Sounds lovely.

But on the following day the newly-weds will let their hair down with their closest friends and family at an afternoon party, and this one will be interesting.

An insider has revealed that “there will be everything from dodgems to funfair rides, as well as plenty of cocktails”.

Can you imagine mixing cocktails with dodgems and funfair rides?

The royal celebration is being organised by A-list party planning firm Bentley’s Entertainment, which shares on its website that it prides itself on creating “spectacular parties that are entirely custom-made to your wishes”.

“Our recent triumphs include a stunning three-day birthday extravaganza in St Tropez, a romantic wedding in Rome, a fabulous fiftieth birthday party in St Petersburg and an intimate dinner in the Turks and Caicos Islands,” the website claims.

When talking about her upcoming wedding during a rare interview with her sister Princess Beatrice in British Vogue, Princess Eugenie revealed that she was working towards living a plastic-free life and wanted her wedding to be plastic-free too.

“It’s very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”

Beatrice said her sister will be a “very modern bride”.

The wedding will be attended by a number of celebrities including Kate Moss, the Beckhams and Naomi Campbell.

A source told the Mail, “The wedding itself is going to be huge and they are hoping quite a few of the people they’ve invited won’t be able to come because of the capacity issue.”

“There are rumours Ellie Goulding and Robbie Williams will sing.”
