In a delightful surprise, Princess Charlotte, seven, has joined her parents, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge at the Commonwealth Games!
The young royal truly stole the show as she cheered throughout the swimming races – with her facial expressions enough to rival her younger brother during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The outing marks Charlotte’s first solo appearance at a royal event without her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis.
For the occasion, the seven-year-old donned a Rachel Riley striped cotton dress in blue, with a white sienna sandal. Her blonde locks were pulled back into adorable plaits.
Meanwhile, her mother opted for an all-white Alexander McQueen power-suit for the games, while William donned a blue shirt and navy suit jacket.

As well as watching the races, the Cambridges also joined in on a mentoring session at SportsAid House, took part in a workshop, and Charlotte even updated the medal board herself.
The Duchess of Cambridge has been a patron of the SportsAid charity since 2013.
At the end of it all, Wills and Catherine took to Instagram to mark the big day as well as thank all of those involved.
“Athletes, mascots and an amazing atmosphere…. an unforgettable day for all of us at #B2022!,” they wrote alongside a slew of photos.

“A real highlight was going behind the scenes with @teamsportsaid and @officialteamengland Futures where the next generation of athletes and support staff are helped to perform at their best, handle pressure and make the most of their experience at major Games.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have previously spoken about Charlotte’s love of sport and energetic nature.
And just this Monday the young royal even shared a message of support ahead of the UEFA Womens Euro Final.
The seven-year-old melted plenty of hearts when she shared a video message along with her father in support of the England team, the Lionesses, ahead of the match.
“We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight,” the duke said. “You’ve done amazingly well in the competition and we’re rooting for you all the way.”
Charlotte then added: “Good luck, I hope you win. Bye!”
