Princess Beatrice accidentally cut Ed Sheeran’s face while she was pretending to knight James Blunt, it has been reported.
During a party at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, the home of Prince Andrew, James Blunt is said to have joked he would love to become a Sir.
And according to reports from British tabloid The Sun, Princess B happily obliged – taking a sword and gently touching it to Blunt’s shoulder.
But as she swung it back, she struck Ed on the cheek, cutting his face open.

A source on the scene told the paper: “Everyone was totally shocked and apparently Beatrice was very upset. But Ed was the perfect gentleman and told her it was just an accident.”
Singer-songwriter Sheeran then had to be taken to hospital to have a few stitches put in, but managed to return to the party afterwards.
The pop star, who attended the royal shin-dig with his partner, Cherry Seaborn, performed a gig in London the following night.
Princess Beatrice, who is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York. Despite being seventh in line to the throne, Beatrice does not carry out public duties on behalf of the royal household, and receives no allowance from the Privy Purse.
