As we head into March Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding grows closer, as does our excitement for the upcoming royal wedding.

Just two months out from their special day Beatrice and fiancé Edoardo have confirmed they’ve picked a very special person to be their best man on the day – Edoardo’s three-year-old son, Christopher, who he shares with his previous partner – how adorable!

Affectionately known as Wolfie by friends and family, his special part on the day will make him the youngest person to ever perform the role at a royal wedding in British history.

“I can confirm that Wolfie will be best man,” a spokesperson for the couple confirmed to the Daily Mail.

It’s also reported the couple chose to give him the important role because Beatrice and Edo want to show him how important he is to his stepmother.

Following the couple’s engagement announcement last year in September a close source told People Beatrice was already a “fantastic step-mummy”.

According to the publication Edo and his former partner, Dara Huang have joint custody of their son and with Dara working between London and Hong Kong, Wolfie stays with Edo while his mother’s away which means Beatrice has already gotten a chance to bond with the youngster.

“Edo is easily one of the best dads,” the source told People.

“He is so involved, he is committed to this little boy, and Beatrice is already showing that she’s a fantastic step-mummy already.”

Adding, “They’ve been on family vacations together already. They are really happy, there’s no better person they could have for a step-mummy.”

Beatrice, 31, and Edo, 37, announced their engagement at the end of September 2019 releasing gorgeous photos taken by Beatrice’s younger sister Princess Eugenie, as well as professional photographs taken by Misan Harriman.

In a joint statement, the couple said they were extremely happy to be able to share the news, adding: “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.

“We share so many similar interest and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

After months of anticipation, the couple finally announced the date of their wedding in February this year, setting the date for May 29.

The couple will hold an intimate ceremony in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace followed by a private reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

The Chapel Royal is a popular venue for many royal wedding and christenings, including the wedding of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert and was also the venue Prince George and Prince Louis were christened.

From the intimate ceremony to the very special best man, Bea and Edo’s wedding is already looking like it’ll be one filled with personal, meaningful touches.
