The world has watched Prince William grow from the chubby-cheeked blond cutie into the man he is today – with a beautiful family of his own.
Through his first days at school, the death of his beloved mother, an meeting his wife Catherine – we look back on William’s life today on his 34th birthday.

Here the young prince is holding his Nanny’s hand as he leaves the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital after the birth of his brother, Harry. Little did the young Prince William know that one day he would be back in this very same wing for the birth of his own children.
This particular outfit was much much later worn by his own son, prince George at princess Charlotte’s christening.

In 1997, tragedy struck the royals as Princess Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris.
Here, brothers William and Harry stand solemnly next to their father Charles at Diana’s funeral. The young boys were just 15 and 12.

In 1999, at age 17, Wills pulled up to Highgrove in a Ford Focus with L plates.

Prince William was accepted to the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland, in 2001.
Less than a month before his 21st birthday, Prince William was pictured running along the beach near his university home, looking like the most eligible bachelor in the world.

But not for long! Kate Middleton caught Wills’ eye on during a student fashion show at the uni, modelling that famous sheer dress.

Back in 2010, Prince William visited New Zealand and opened the Supreme Court in Wellington. He is seen here greeting Sir Paul Reeves, Former Governor General. This was his first official overseas visit for the royals.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement on November 16, 2010, they posed for photographs in St James Palace. Kate looked beautiful and the world got a glimpse of the soon to be wedded royal couple.

In one of the most celebrated events of the 21st century, Prince William of Cambridge married Kate Middleton in Westminster Abbey in 2010.
She became Her Royal Highness Duchess Catherine Middleton of Cambridge, and the world fell in love with the young couple.

In 2013, Catherine and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge left the same Lindo wing that Wills had visited baby brother all those years ago with their own son, Prince George.

In 2015, Princes George and William waved as they went back to the Lindo wing to welcome George’s baby sister, Princess Charlotte into the world.
