After taking some time out to enjoy his newborn daughter, Prince William heads back to work today.

The Duke of Cambridge is a pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance. In a rare interview with Sky News on his first day back, he talks about how family life has changed since Princess Charlotte’s birth.

“It’s been fantastic,” he says. “She’s been a little joy of heaven”. Although, he admits it’s been challenging at times. “It is more responsibility looking after two little ones, especially when George is around. He’s a little monkey!”

Prince William certainly doesn’t have to work, but the decision to do so is all part of the royal family’s attempt to live as normal a life as possible. Is it hard leaving his lovely little family every morning?

“No more difficult than everyone else has to do,” says the down-to-earth Prince. He credits the Duchess of Cambridge with making it easier for him to rejoin the workforce. “Catherine’s been doing an amazing job as a mother and I’m very proud of her.”

So will there be a third little prince or princess anytime soon? The Duke of Cambridge is keeping mum. “We’ve only just had the second one! You never know what’s going to happen in the future.”
