Prince Harry has reportedly fallen victim to two hoax phone calls by Russian pranksters where he opened up about his thoughts on Megxit as well as his feelings about US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and even his uncle Prince Andrew’s scandal.

The YouTube pranksters Alexei Stolyarov and Vladimir Kuznetsov, who are known for their pranks on prominent figures including the likes of Bernie Sanders and Boris Johnson, allegedly convinced the prince he was speaking to 17-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and her father Svante, the Sun reports.

Royal sources have also told the Sun it was “completely natural” for the prince to want to talk to Greta, having publicly praised her on several occasions, while Duchess Meghan highlighted her as a ‘force of change’ when she was guest editor for British Vogue in 2019.

In the two telephone conversations which supposedly feature Harry, one said to be recorded on New Years’ Eve and the following on January 22 a few days after an agreement was reached for the Sussexes’ royal exit, Harry opened up saying he felt there was no other option than for him and Duchess Meghan to leave royal life saying “sometimes the right decision isn’t always the right one”.

Adding it “certainly wasn’t the easy one but it was the right decision for our family, the right decision to be able to protect my son.”

He adds, “It’s a tricky one, but we will start a new life.”

When asked if life away from The Firm was better Harry agreed it was “much better”.

“You forget, I was in the military for 10 years so I’m more normal than my family would like to believe,” Harry told the YouTubers.

“But certainly being in a different position now gives us the ability to say things and do things that we might not have been able to do.”

He also went into more detail about the agreement reached that will see him and Meghan step back from royal duties at the end of the month telling the Russian pranksters that “because of a technicality within the family, if we are earning money separately from within the family structure, then we obviously have been asked not to use our titles in order to make money, which we would never do.”

When asked about what he thought about Prince Andrew’s relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Harry supposedly made it clear of his distance from his uncle.

“I have very little to say on that,” he responded.

“But whatever he has done or hasn’t done, is completely separate from me and my wife. We operate in a way of inclusivity and we are focusing on community.

“And so we are completely separate from the majority of my family,” he concluded.

Of course, believing he was talking to Greta and her father, Prince Harry also spoke at length about climate change and condemned US President Donald Trump’s climate policies, The Daily Mail reports.

“The world is a troubled place and it can be very easy to give up and I think what you guys are doing is absolutely remarkable,” Harry reportedly said.

“Unfortunately the world is being led by some very sick people so the people like yourselves and younger generation are the ones that are going to make all the difference. The usual way things have been done over the last how many years has not had the effect that it needs to.”

He added, “I think the mere fact that Donald Trump is pushing the coal industry is so big in America, he has blood on his hands.

“Because the effect that has on the climate and the island nations far, far away, again out of sight out of mind. But I’ve visited those places and I’m sure you have as well. People’s lives have been completely destroyed. People are dying every single month by some form of natural disaster created from this huge change in our climate.”

The 35-year-old also reportedly encouraged the fake Greta to meet with Donald Trump and Boris Johnson saying, “It’s far more important to have an open dialogue and conversation with these people than not.”

Adding, “I think he [Boris] is a good man, so you are one of few people who can reach into his soul and get him to feel and believe in you. But you understand that because he has been around for so long like all these other people, they are already set in their ways.

“They believe what they believe, they believe what they have been told. What you are saying to them is not only inconvenient but is completely against everything they have ever believed. So that is what you’re up against, up against changing habits, as you know.”

Representatives for the Sussexes’ are yet to comment on the hoax, with the couple having just arrived back to Canada following their final public appearance as working royals on Monday for the Commonwealth Day service in London.

Their official Instagram account @sussexroyal also shared outtakes from a secret meeting the couple held at Buckingham Palace as President and Vice-President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, where they spoke with young leaders from the Trust’s network.

While the couple may soon be stepping back as senior royals, the couple is certainly making it clear they’re still dedicated to championing the causes they’re passionate about.
