Prince Harry “can’t wait” to become uncle

The news of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s pregnancy made headlines in December. But until now we haven’t heard from uncle-to-be Prince Harry.

In an interview that took place 10 days after Kate and William’s announcement but was censored for security reasons, the Apache helicopter pilot revealed his excitement about his brother William’s baby on the way.

“I’m thrilled for both of them… it’s about time,” said Harry. “I spoke to my brother and her, and they’re both very well and both very happy obviously.

“I think it’s very unfair that they were forced to publicise it when they were, but that’s just the media for you,” added Harry, referring to the fact that the announcement was early due to Kate’s hospitalisation for severe morning sickness.

Harry, who has just returned from serving in Afghanistan, revealed that although he’s been in the line of fire, William has been envious of his job.

“I think there is a bit of jealousy, not just the fact that I get to fly this, but obviously he’d love to be out here,” said Harry.

When asked if he felt any pressure to settle down, Harry said he’s in no hurry to find his own bride.

“I don’t think you can ever be urged to settle down,” he says. “If you find the right person and everything feels right, then it takes time, especially for myself and my brother.
