Crowds of royal fans have lined the streets of Windsor Castle on Friday UK time.

What they weren’t expecting, was a surprise visit from Prince Harry and Prince William.

The royal brothers were in great spirits as they shook hands with hundreds of well-wishers, many whom had camped out for days in the hope of getting a glimpse of the world’s most famous bride and groom.

As he stepped out, the groom-to-be joked to his supporters: “I’m actually just going to the pub.”

Before admitting: “I’m really excited… I can’t wait!”

During the meet-and-greet, Harry chatted to seven-year-old Meghan O’Shea from Windsor.

Meghan explained: “He asked me my name and said ‘is that like the one I’m going to marry? There are not many Meghans with an H.”

The brother’s received gifts from fans.

“I’m not getting much sleep – but I’m sure it will get better,” William replied, the MailOnline report.

Meanwhile, as Harry worked his charm offensive on the adoring crowds his soon-to-be wife Meghan Markle and mum Dorian Ragland checked into the Cliveden House Hotel, a 350-year-old stately home which has been turned into a luxury hotel and is about a 30-minute drive away from the castle.

Earlier in the day, Meghan and Doria met with Queen Elizabeth for afternoon tea.

And in yet another dramatic turn of events, overnight Kensington Palace announced that Prince Charles will be walking Meghan Markle down the aisle after her father Thomas Markle pulled out.
