Prince George inherits his first sports car

The little royal could soon be zooming around in his own miniature-sized Aston Martin

Prince George’s love for anything with wheels is already well known, and the tiny tot’s joy is only set to increase when he gets his latest present from doting dad Prince William!

According to HELLO!, the two-year-old will be inheriting William’s half-size green V8 Volante Aston Martin which he and Prince Harry used to play with as children.

The car was presented to Prince Charles in 1988 as a gift for the young princes, but as William and Harry grew older, it was moved to Sandringham Museum in Norfolk to be put on display for the public.

Now it’s set to get a new life with George, who has already had plenty of experience driving around on the miniature toy tractor he was gifted last year.

“The car has been in Sandringham Museum for many years after William and Harry outgrew it, but it’s always belonged to them so there was nothing to stop them using it again,” a source told The Sunday Express.

“Everyone is looking forward to seeing George drive it. I should think he’ll be in the car within a year.”

The car is one of only 25 ever built and comes with a fully functional engine, headlights and radio.

While it’s intended as a gift for George, he’s not the only royal child to get his hands on it – during Christmas, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex’s eight-year-old son James also got to enjoy a bit of a test drive!
