On Tuesday, the Duke of Sussex held an audience with Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, on behalf of his grandmother The Queen, with photos from the Kensington Palace meeting not long after.

However, there was a certain detail in the background of the photos that had eagle-eyed fans buzzing.

In an image of Prince Harry and the Nepali Prime Minister shared on the official royal family’s Twitter page if you squint, you can see a framed image of the Duke and Duchess, sitting on a cabinet in the background.

The photo shows the couple smiling for the camera with Meghan in a beautiful pale blue, figure-hugging dress and Harry sporting a navy blue suit, the black frame is engraved with the couple’s official monogram with their two distinctive signatures shown below the image.

While it hasn’t been confirmed when exactly the photograph was taken, all signs point to it being part of the series of images taken by Alexi Lubomirski in December 2017 as part of their engagement shoot.

However, this isn’t the first time the photo has been seen, as it was also spotted at the Queen’s house – Buckingham Palace.

In May last year when photographs were released of Her Majesty meeting the Australian High Commissioner to the UK at the Palace, fans were quick to spot the photo of the royal couple sitting on a table – she must be proud!

However Harry’s Tuesday meeting with PM Oli didn’t just unearth one photo, but three – a black and white photo of Prince William and Harry in their younger years and a photo of Prince William and Duchess Catherine.

The portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is thought to have been taken in 2011, just weeks before their royal wedding – it’s always a treat to get a glimpse at rarely seen photos.

Prince Harry’s meeting with PM Oli at Kensington Palace marks the first time in 19 years that a Nepali Prime Minister has visited the UK, however it’s not the first time Harry has met PM Oli.

The pair met during Harry’s trip to Nepal in March 2016. At the time Nepal was recovering from a major earthquake which had left villages torn apart and villages displaced.

In an Instagram post shared by Sussex Royal to mark the PM’s meeting with Harry on Tuesday, the caption talked about the Prince’s previous trip to Nepal, writing: “Despite this tragedy [the earthquakes], The Duke was moved by the remarkable spirit, resilience and warmth of the Nepalese, as seen in the photos from his visit.”

It went on to talk about Harry’s visit to Pokhara to meet the Royal Gurkha Rifles and how he volunteered in a remote village to help rebuild a local school.

It’s been a busy week for the new father (can you believe Archie is already more than a month old?) who later on Tuesday attended a fundraising concert for Sentebale at Hampton Court Palace.

Sentebale was created by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, in 2006 to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi. It’s also a touching way for the two princes to pay tribute to and keep the legacy of their mothers alive.
