Kate releases family photos to celebrate Princess Charlotte’s first birthday

The sweet snaps were taken at home in Norfolk by mum, Kate.

Happy birthday Princess Charlotte!

The youngest royal turns one today (May 2) and her mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, has shared some private family photos to mark the occasion.

The collection of four photos, which Kate herself took at the family home in Norfolk, give a sweet peek into the relaxed royal life Charlotte is growing up in.

“The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share new photographs of Princess Charlotte,” a spokesperson from Kensington Palace wrote on Twitter.

“The Duchess took these pictures of her daughter in April at their home in Norfolk.

“The Duke and Duchess are happy to be able to share these family moments, ahead of their daughter’s first birthday.

“We hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as we do.”

It has been a momentous few weeks for the royal family. Charlotte’s great-grandmother, the Queen, recently celebrated her 90th birthday, while Kate and William marked their fifth wedding anniversary on April 29.

Kate also made her first appearance on the cover of British Vogue to mark the magazine’s centenary.
