The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 38th birthday on Sunday, her first birthday as a mum, and of course her family and friends were quick to wish her a very happy birthday.

Following Prince Harry’s sweet tribute on Instagram to Meghan, in which he personally wrote a birthday message to his “amazing wife”, Meghan’s friends left their own heartfelt comments.

Meghan’s longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin sent her “mad birthday love” for her special day.

“Sending HRH, my beautiful friend, mad birthday love today,” Daniel commented below the Instagram post.

“Love you M🎂 💙”

Meanwhile Edward Enninful, the editor-in-chief of British Vogue, who was instrumental in Meghan’s involvement in the September issue also wished Meghan a happy birthday writing: “Happy Birthday Meghan 🎈🎁🎂🎉🎊”

And actress and body positivity campaigner Jameela Jamil, one of the cover stars on the Forces for Change issue, handpicked by Meghan commented a simple: “Happy Birthday. ❤.”

Of course, it wasn’t just Meghan’s friends who took to Instagram to wish her happy birthday with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla and the Queen have all paid touching tributes to the new mum.

Sharing an image of the ‘Fab Four’ and Charles, the Prince of Wales on Christmas Day last year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!” finished with a balloon emoji.

Meanwhile Clarence House, the estate of Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, share three gorgeous images of the Duchess to mark her birthday.

The first is a lovely photograph from earlier this year on Commonwealth Day, the second is from the same day which shows Meghan and Prince Charles sharing a laugh, while the third shows a happy looking Meghan and Camilla.

“A very Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex 🎉” the caption reads.

And of course, the Queen’s official Instagram account also joined in with the birthday wishes, sharing a lovely photo of Harry and Meghan hand-in-hand in July during their appearance at Olympic Park in London to watch the Major League Baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.

“Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex 🎂,” the Instagram caption begins.

“The Duchess was born on this day in 1981.”

Last week the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they wanted their followers’ suggestions on who they should follow for the month of August to fall into the theme: Forces for Change.

Since May the royal couple have taken to announcing a cause or theme on their Instagram account where they solely follow a number of accounts who work to help support the chosen cause.

From Mental Health Awareness month, PRIDE month and most recently Climate Change Awareness month, this month they want to follow accounts who are doing inspiring and life-changing work within their communities and beyond.

The theme reflects title of Meghan’s guest-edited issue of British Vogue, with the couple saying they’ll announce the 15 accounts they’ve chosen on Monday August 5th.
