If working for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is not really your cup of tea but you’d still like the chance to exchange pleasantries with the royal couple, you’re in luck.

According to UK news outlet Metro, a two-bedroom cottage next door to Kate and William’s country home, Anmer Hall in West Norfolk, is up for rent!

The charming cottage, referred to as 20 Cherry Tree, is situated opposite the tree-lined drive of Anmer Hall and is priced at £700 (NZD $1300) a month, and is looking for a tenant who is planning to use the quaint cottage as their primary residence.

However the cottage, which is being let by the Sandringham Estate, has a “strict no cats policy,” and the listing warns of a steep staircase.

The Sandringham Estate rents properties in 13 villages around the Queen’s residence, with the tiny village of Anmer, which sits on the royal estate, being home to just 29 houses and a population of around 63 people.

Anmer Hall was gifted to William and Kate by the Queen for their wedding and the 10-bedroom country estate was their base following the birth of Prince George in 2013 for a few years before moving to Kensington Palace in London where they now live with their three children Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1.

Anmer Hall has remained a convenient getaway for the Cambridges, who head there often during the holidays and the family-of-five have often shared photographs taken in the grounds, including their family Christmas card last year as well the gorgeous photographs Duchess Kate shared to mark the birthdays of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis earlier this year.

Kate and William are currently enjoying summer holidays with their three children, with the family reportedly jetting off to the private island of Mustique in the Caribbean where they also celebrated Prince George’s sixth birthday.

With the couple not making any public engagement plans until September, the couple will make one exception on August 9th to host the inaugural King’s Cup sailing regatta on the Isle of Wight.

The couple will go head to head along with a handful of prominent ambassadors including Bear Grylls, English football player Fara Williams and comedian and actor John Bishop.

The eight ambassadors, each representing a charity, will skipper their own boats with the winning team awarded the historic King’s Cup, with the aim of the event to bring greater awareness to the wider benefits of sport, while also raising support and funds for the causes that the Cambridges support.

In July it was reported that the royal couple were on the hunt for a diary coordinator to help manage their hectic schedules.

Based at Kensington Palace, the role is described as being responsible for “managing the seamless delivery of multiple complex diaries to ensure the smooth and effective coordination of engagements and events.”

The advertisement came just months after their household underwent a number of significant changes, from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex breaking away from Kensington Palace, to the splitting of the joint couples’ charity The Royal Foundation.

Since the announcement of the split it has been announced that Harry and Meghan’s new foundation will be called “Sussex Royal the Foundation of the Duke & Duchess of Sussex.”
