In just two months, New Zealand will be rolling out the red carpet and busting out our best pavlova for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they arrive for an official royal tour.

But before they make their way to Aotearoa, the newlyweds will likely visit Australia first to celebrate the 2018 Invictus Games.

In May, it was reported the couple would be bunking down at Sydney’s closest version to a castle at the palatial Villa Del Mare mansion in Point Piper.

And now, the Herald Sun claims Prince Harry and the former Meghan Markle will stay at the multi-million dollar waterfront property.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly be staying in Point Piper.

The six-bedroom eastern suburbs abode boats some of Sydney’s best views and is worth just under AU$40 million (roughly NZ$44 million).

Meghan and Harry will feel right at home with eight bathrooms, several living rooms, a bar and an infinity pool.

The couple, who married on May 19th this year, will be hitting the ground running as they promote the fourth Invictus Games but after a hectic day of work, they can kick back and take in the most spectacular views of Sydney Harbour – which can be found in almost every room of the Point Piper mansion.

Australia’s version of a palace: Villa Del Mare!

Not a bad place to relax after a day’s work.

We can just imagine Harry waiting at the end of this staircase to greet his wife.

In June, Kensington Palace confirmed the royal couple would be coming to Sydney in October to tie in with the Invictus Games and an official royal tour of Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undertake an official visit to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand in the Autumn,” statement read.

It continued: “Their Royal Highnesses have been invited to visit the Realms of Australia and New Zealand by the countries’ respective governments. The Duke and Duchess will visit the Commonwealth countries of Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.”

“The tour will fall on the occasion of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018. Further details will be advised in due course.”

Former military man Prince Harry launched the Paralympics-style event for wounded servicemen and women back in 2014 and it has since become a global attraction.

The 2018 Invictus Games commence on the 18th of October and go until the 29th.
