Happy Birthday Princess Eugenie!

Princess Eugenie of York was the first royal bub to ever have a public baptism.

If there’s one thing you should know about the Yorks, it’s that they absolutely love to ski, and even have their own family chalet in Verbier, Switzerland.

The royal family are known for their love of horses – Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall is even an Olympic medal winning equestrian – and it seems Princess Eugenie loved them too.

Looking ready to cut some shapes on the snow, Princess Eugenie waves to the cameras while on a ski holiday in Switzerland with her mum and sister.

And with so much time spent on the snow, it’s no surprise that that was exactly where the Princess met her future husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Six years later Eugenie met Jack at a ski resort in Switzerland. Speaking of when they met, the Princess has said: “We met when I was 20 and Jack was 24, and fell in love. We both had the same passions and drive for life.”

In previous interviews the royal sisters, who are less than two years apart in age, have revealed that while they’ve got completely different personalities, it’s their differences that make them even closer.

The throwback pics wouldn’t be complete without images from the Princess’ beautiful wedding in October 2018. The Princess, who underwent surgery to correct her scoliosis when she was 12 years old, intentionally chose a dress design that would show the the scar down her spine.

“I believe scars tell a story about your past and your future and it’s a way of getting rid of the taboo,” the Princess has said.

“For me it’s a way of communicating with people who are going through either similar situations with scoliosis or having a scar of their own they are trying to deal with.” (Image: Getty)
