There were plenty of moments during Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s royal wedding that had us swooning, smiling and even shedding a happy tear or two.

But it’s Meghan’s newly revealed ‘something blue’ from the big day which takes the cake as the sweetest thing of all.

In some beautiful footage from upcoming ITV documentary Queen of the World, Meghan is seen being reunited with her wedding dress, and it’s clear the encounter brings back a flood of memories for the new royal family member.

The newlywed’s reaction to seeing her wedding dress is heartwarming.

Speaking to the production team, Meghan is shown touching the dress, saying: “It’s amazing isn’t it… The work that they did here is just so beautiful.”

She then reveals something that would make a even heart of stone melt – her something blue was a small piece of blue fabric from a dress she wore on her first date with Harry, which was stitched carefully inside the gown.

If that’s not the sweetest thing we’ve heard about the doting new royal couple, we don’t know what is.

In another new clip from the documentary, Duchess Meghan speaks about how she incorporated elements of the Commonwealth into her wedding gown, which was a surprise to Prince Harry and his family.

“It was important for me especially now being a part of the royal family to have all 53 of the Commonwealth countries incorporated,” Meghan said.

“And I knew that it would be a fun surprise as well for my now husband, who didn’t know.”

The Duchess had the Commonwealth emblem sewn into her veil for the big day, according to Hello!. Flora from all the Commonwealth countries also featured along the veil.

Meghan said Harry was “really over the moon to find out that I would make this choice for our day together.”

Could this couple be any cuter!?

The 37-year-old also mentions how her royal in-laws reacted to the tribute to the Commonwealth.

“I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction, and just appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us and the role that we play, and the work that we’re going to continue to do within the Commonwealth countries,” she said.

The upcoming ITV documentary will delve into the Queen’s life as head of the Commonwealth, and how her duties are being passed down to the younger generation of royals.

Meghan’s dedication to her duties within the royal family and the Commonwealth is a sure sign of good things to come.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for the Duchess of Sussex.
