The Duchess of Cambridge looked every part the princess attending her first ever state banquet last night. In a glittering tiara and embellished red gown, she looked radiant at the Buckingham Palace event in honour of the Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping.
The banquet was hosted by The Queen to celebrate President Xi and Madame Peng’s visit, and was attended by The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke of York, The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Kate chose to wear the Lotus Flower tiara, which she also wore to the annual diplomatic reception in 2013. Her gorgeous gown, worn as a tribute to her guests’ home country, was by Jenny Packham, one of the Duchess’ favourite designers.
