Duchess Catherine has stepped out for a museum soiree in the most stunning Erdem dress

It was out with the old and in with the new for the Duchess of Cambridge.

When it comes to style, it seems that Duchess Catherine can do no wrong.

The mum-of-three stepped out in a stunning off-the-shoulder Erdem number on Wednesday for the opening of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s new photography centre in London, and the tweed midi dress didn’t fail to turn heads.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked radiant in an Erdem dress at the museum soiree.

Ever the style muse, she paired the dress with some Erdem drop-earrings and Jimmy Choo stiletto heels. A floral embellishment along the left of the collar also added a chic touch to the look.

Kate isn’t one to shy away from outfit repeating, but this style with maroon detailing is understood to be a new addition to the Duchess’ wardrobe.

Retailing at around NZD$2,800, we’re hoping this dress is worn a few more times!

The Duchess has had a busy week following her return from a five-month maternity leave after giving birth to Prince Louis in April.

Kate added some shimmering details like these drop Erdem earrings to her look.

This event was a particularly exciting one for Middleton – she became the museum’s patron in March this year, and this marked her first visit since taking the title.

The royal was given a tour of the new centre’s inaugural exhibition titled ‘Collecting Photography: From Daguerreotype To Digital’, a display of photos from the 19th century to today.

The 36-year-old Duchess toured the new centre’s first exhibit.

The new centre has doubled in size.

The 36-year-old mixed with museum curators in attendance, as well as unveiling a plaque to mark the space’s official opening.

The Duchess has certainly been busy of late. She made her official return to work last week after five-months maternity leave following the birth of Prince Louis. A visit to a children’s outdoor forest school was first on the agenda for the mum-of-three.

On Tuesday, she attended the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit with husband Prince William, and on Friday, she will attend the wedding of her cousin Princess Eugenie, an event that’s set to draw millions of viewers across the world.

Kate looked stunning in a long-sleeved Emilia Wickstead dress while attending a global summit on Tuesday.

The designer of Kate’s frock and earrings from the museum soiree, Erdem, could also be a hint at what’s to come for the royal wedding tomorrow – the British fashion house is one of the favourites tipped to be designing the bride’s dress!

Eugenie has been known to wear Erdem’s stunning gowns on more than one occasion – her engagement shoot for starters! If that’s not a sign of a designer trusted to create one of the most important dresses she’ll ever wear, then we don’t know what is.

Princess Eugenie is also a fan of Erdem, with the designer tipped to be behind her wedding dress!

As for Kate, we’re excited to see what the Duchess herself wears for the big event tomorrow!
